Overview & Tank Setup

• Adult Size: Generally 1.5 to 2 inches (4 to 5 cm).
• Lifespan: 3 to 5 years under optimal care.
• Minimum Tank Size: 10 to 20 gallons (the larger size is highly recommended to sustain a social group and enough natural grazing area).
• Behavior: Highly peaceful, active, and social. They must be kept in shoals of at least 6 to 10 to feel safe and secure.
• Compatibility: Completely safe with delicate freshwater shrimp (like Cherry or Crystal shrimp), small tetras, rasboras, and corydoras. Avoid housing them with aggressive or large tank mates.
