Description

The term “Chocolate Doradid Catfish“ most commonly refers to the Striped Raphael Catfish (Platydoras armatulus), an armored freshwater species from the family Doradidae native to the South American Amazon basin. In the aquarium trade, the name is also sometimes shared with its close relative, the Chocolate Talking Catfish (Acanthodoras cataphractus).
