Albino Glowlight Tetra – care and compatible tank mates

Hemigrammus erythrozonus. Glowlight Tetra adults reach about 4 cm standard length. The standard and albino listings are the same biological species, with identical water and group requirements. Trade names do not make them interchangeable with other tetra species.

Water and aquarium planning

Species guidance: 24–28°C, pH 5.5–7.5 and 2–15 dGH. Main mixed plan: 25–26°C, pH 6.4–6.5 and 3–5 dGH. Cooler companions use 24–25°C; livebearers and selected rainbowfish use separate neutral/harder plans. Ram options use 27–28°C. Select one coherent shared-water plan.

Group, feeding and precautions

Keep 10+ with fine prepared foods and small live/frozen invertebrates, maintaining their own shoal even alongside another tetra. Eggs receive no parental care. Quarantine arrivals and grow tiny fish separately; no Angelfish, Oscars, large predatory catfish or persistent fin-nippers.

群养、投喂与注意事项

建议以10条以上的群体饲养，投喂精细的人工饲料以及小型活体或冷冻无脊椎动物；即便与其他灯鱼混养，它们仍会保持自身的群游习性。亲鱼不会照料鱼卵。新引进的鱼只需进行检疫，幼鱼应单独饲养；切勿与神仙鱼、地图鱼、大型掠食性鲶鱼或有持续啃咬鱼鳍习性的鱼类混养。
