Description

The Norman’s Lampeye (Poropanchax normani)—frequently mislabeled in the aquarium trade as the “Lampeye Tetra”—is actually a tiny, peaceful freshwater killifish native to Central and Western Africa. It gets its signature name from the striking, iridescent electric-blue crescent on the upper half of its eyes, which makes a loose school look like shimmering floating lights under proper tank lighting.
