Description

The Siberian sturgeon is a large species that can grow up to two meters long and live to be over 60 years old. The species is anadromous (meaning they migrate up rivers from the sea to spawn) and males become sexually mature between 9 and 25 years while females mature between 16 and 20 years. 

They often migrate across most river systems in Northern Russia. There are also non-migratory populations in Lake Baikal, the largest freshwater lake in the world, located in Southern Russia. Feeding primarily on small organisms that live on the bottom of the river such as small worms, insect larvae and crustaceans.

西伯利亚鲟鱼体型较大，体长可达两米，寿命可达60年以上。该物种为溯河洄游鱼类（即从海洋逆流而上产卵），雄性在9至25岁之间性成熟，雌性则在16至20岁之间性成熟。

它们经常在俄罗斯北部的大部分河流系统中迁徙。在位于俄罗斯南部的世界最大淡水湖——贝加尔湖中，也存在一些不迁徙的西伯利亚鲟鱼种群。它们主要以生活在河底的小型生物为食，例如小型蠕虫、昆虫幼虫和甲壳类动物。
