• Appearance: It has a distinctive diamond-shaped, laterally compressed body with a bright, shiny silver hue. Adults often have dark-tipped dorsal and anal fins, while juveniles feature two vertical black bands across their head and more yellow tones.
• Behavior: They are active, social fish typically seen in large schools. While generally peaceful, they can become territorial in smaller tanks.
• Habitat: Native to the Indo-West Pacific, they are found in mangrove estuaries, bays, and tidal creeks from the Red Sea to Australia and Japan.
