Description
Sewellia lineolata, commonly known as the Reticulated Hillstream Loach or Tiger Hillstream Loach, is a small, highly specialized freshwater fish endemic to the fast-flowing river basins of central Vietnam. Belonging to the family Gastromyzontidae, they are famous for their unique, aerodynamic morphology. Their broad pectoral and pelvic fins are modified into specialized suction pads, allowing them to anchor tightly to smooth boulders and crawl upstream against raging torrents.
