Description

The Emperor Tetra Black (Nematobrycon palmeri) is an American tetra from the Atrato and San Juan river basins in South America that reaches 4.2 cm standard length. It suits peaceful communities in groups of at least six at 23–27°C, pH 6.5–7.5 and 5–12 dGH, the overlap of FishBase, Seriously Fish and OATA guidance, and needs an aquarium with a base of at least 90 × 30 cm and about 81 litres. Sold individually in sizes from 1.5–2 cm to 3–4 cm.
