Description

The Gold Torpedo Barb (Dawkinsia denisonii, formerly Sahyadria denisonii)—also widely known as the Gold Denison Barb, Gold Rose Line Barb, or “Miss Kerala”—is a striking, line-bred color variation of the standard wild Red Line Torpedo Barb. First selectively bred in Indonesia, this xanthic/albino strain trades the standard species’ shimmering silver scales for a vibrant bright gold body, while beautifully retaining the intense, signature neon-red horizontal stripe running from its snout through the front half of its torso.
