Description

The Red Eye Angelfish (predominantly the Albino Red Eye morph of Pterophyllum scalare) is a striking, selectively bred freshwater fish highly popular for its luminous, pale cream or silver body paired with distinctive, glowing pink or bright red eyes. Because they possess the albino gene, they lack dark melanin, which allows the blood vessels in their eyes to show through, creating their signature dramatic gaze.
